Te Manawa Taki

Our Region

Te Punanga Ora is represented through the 8 iwi of Taranaki Te Kaahui o Rauru, Te Rūnanga o Taranaki, Te Korowai o Ruahine, Taranaki iwi, Te Atiawa, Ngāti Mutunga, Ngāti Maru and Ngāti Tama, and together our primary function is to represent Māori perspectives, and Taranaki views on how to look after our people, and all people that choose to live and work in Taranaki, including;

  • The needs and aspirations of Māori about Hauora Māori outcomes across the whole health system; and
  • How the health system is performing concerning those needs and aspirations; and
  • The design and delivery of services and public health interventions within Taranaki.
  • Elevating our whānau voice.
